This October Season Sampler box contains approx. 5-7 pounds of Redland-Raised Avocados, Redland-Raised Dragon Fruit and Redland-Raised Persian Limes. All the items in this box can be used to make Avo-Dragon Guacamole, one of Redlands tropical guac delicacies.
Redland Avo-Dragon Guacamole Recipe
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 Fresh Jalapeño
Chili Powder to taste
Fresh Cilantro desired amount
2 whole minced Garlic cloves
2 Tablespoon of Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
1 Medium seeded skinned Tomato
1 Redland-Raised Persian Lime
2 Redland-Raised Avocados (Make sure they are completely ripe!)
1 Redland-Raised Dragon Fruit
Cut the 2 avocados in half and remove the pits. Scoop out the avocado in to a bowl and try to leave the skin in tact. Save the best two avocado skins.
Then take the medium Dragon Fruit and cut off about 1/4 of the top. Scoop out the flesh and put it in a separate bowl. Mash the dragon fruit flesh with a potato masher or fork. Save the hollowed out dragon fruit skin.
Mix all the ingredients together in the bowl with the avocado and then mash with potato masher or fork to a creamy consistency. Once you've reached the desired consistency, add the mashed dragon fruit to the guacamole. Give it a stir to mix everything.
Take the 2 avocado skins and hollowed out dragon fruit skin that you've saved, to use as bowls to serve your avo-guacamole.
Garnish with lime slices for the finishing touches.
